Our products featuring the EMICODE label are low emission/environmentally compatible. The EMICODE classification system awards labels to construction products that comply with the very stringent health and environmental requirements of recognised institutes.
The expansion speed of VKP Trio depends on the temperature. In high temperatures, store the tape in a cool location; in low temperatures, store in a warm location.
Please use VKP Plus for joints between solid components. In the bottom joint area, we recommend flex tape or EPDM outdoor sealing tape.
For tapes with a joint width of 12–20 mm and 20–30 mm, the tape has two layers, and the self-adhesive area is located on the wavy side (for technical reasons).
Carry out sufficient tests of your own for paints and sealants. No interactions with commercially available grout. The window is secured as a spaced installation. Façade joints under a heavy load must be sealed with VKP Plus.
EMICODE EC1plus: Very low emission – the EMICODE classification system characterises the environmental and health compatibility of construction products. The lowest-emission products bear the EC1plus mark.

Sealing of window joints and door joints, connection joints of conservatories to the main building and other construction connections.
VKP Trio is wedge-shaped; the material is thicker on the inside than on the outside. In the joint, this differing compression guarantees that the vapour diffusion gradient from inside to outside required by the RAL-Gütegemeinschaft für Fenster und Haustüren (RAL Quality Association for Windows and Doors) is achieved.
Preparation:
- Roughly clean the surfaces to remove dirt
- Cut off approx. 2 cm from the beginning and end of the tape
- Take the additional length of approx. 2 cm/m into account when cutting the tape to length
Installation on window:
Pull the protective film off the self-adhesive strip and adhere the tape to the window profile. Make sure the positioning is correct internally and externally (white label on the inside).
Appearance in the corner area:
The tape will meet bluntly in the corners; compress in longitudinal direction. Leaks must always be avoided. If available, seal with flexible tape adhesive (art. no. 0893710000).
