Instructions
1. Advance preparation
- Select the torque wrench and adapter you want to use and ensure they are the correct size.
- Ensure that the bolts and nuts to be worked on are clean and accessible.
2. Fit the adapter
- Securely fit the adapter to the tip of the torque wrench.
- Ensure that the connection is secure and check for any looseness.
3. Set and calculate torque
- The length of the adapter (2 inches)affects the torque calculation and should be compensation for, if necessary.
- Set the appropriate torque value and adjust it to ensure that there are no errors.
4. Tightening
- Set the 12-point box end of the adapter firmly onto the bolt or nut.
- Make it fits securely to prevent snagging or slipping.
- Operate the torque wrench slowly and tighten to the correct torque.
5. Post-work checks
- Check that it is tightened to the set torque value.
- Remove the adapter and torque wrench and store appropriately.
